GATE STREET BARN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

"Gate Street Barn" is a beautiful barn wedding venue in Surrey. Gate Street is also only a short drive from the centre of Guildford, in Bramley (an extra added bonus!) This venue feels secluded and private, yet also welcoming too. “Gate Street Barn is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane. It boasts landscaped gardens and even views of a hobby herd of English Longhorn cattle.”

Gate Street Barn really does have a homie feel to it, whilst also being quietly grand. There’s an enclosed courtyard at the front of the barn, which is the perfect area for family and friends to gather after a wedding ceremony. It also provides a stunning backdrop for “group photos”, whilst guests can mingle/stretch their legs in any of the other gardens (there’s plenty to choose from!)

The barn underwent renovations in recent years and is now even more light and enjoyable with its new Atrium and Orangery. The Orangery not only creates beautiful sunlit vibes but provides protection against Great British weather and connects the barn to the Pheasantry, a lovely space for guests to mingle and congregate before the ceremony and in the evening portion of your day.

Every little detail had been thought about for this beautiful day, with plenty of rustic decorations, a "sweet cart" (by Soiree-Events), beautiful "signs", and an epic greenery laden wedding table (crockery by "Crystal Hire", fabrics by "Silk & Purl" and styling by "Elizabeth Rose Events". In fact, greenery was used throughout with eucalyptus taking centre stage and the results are stunning.

Our groom was suited and booted in a navy-blue Suit and a pink/purple "Paisley" Tie by "Next", while our bride donned a lacy gown by "Sienna Von Hildemar" and they both looked absolutely gorgeous.

The main vision for this day was definitely “rustic elegance”, which was, of course, perfectly suited to Gate Street Barn, with its high wooden beams and wooden floors. As they wed in Spring, the vibes were fresh yet warm and pinks complemented yellows and greens that naturally occurred throughout the venue’s grounds.

The wedding morning was so relaxed with Terri doing hair and Jenny doing make-up. Then there were the florals, I mean wow! Greenery was used throughout, interspersed with roses and other beautiful gems by "Elizabeth Rose Events". The barn really did look spectacular, as did the wild style bouquets wrapped up in lace and ribbons.

Not a detail was missed, even down to how the napkins were going to be folded. A delicious looking cake & dessert table by the fabulous "Monannie Cakes" made for a beautiful evening too! I was so pleased to photograph this day and this beautiful wedding couple, as everything totally exceeded my (already very high) expectations!
