Some of the best keepsakes of your engagement and wedding day are the timeless photos you get to keep, share, and look back on fondly, that instantly transport you to that wonderful time. But what if Covid-19 got in the way and those wedding photographs aren’t how you imagined, or worse still, you weren’t able to have your wedding photos AT ALL?! Enter the anniversary shoot. Whether you've been married for one year or sixty-five years, an anniversary shoot not only gives you new memories to cherish, but also serves as a reminder of your enduring love beyond the butterflies of the wedding day!

Savannah & Omar’s First Wedding Anniversary was the perfect opportunity to capture the beautiful couple portraits they never got the opportunity to have while embarking on their second year of married life and all the adventures it may bring.

• Connect over new experiences & places - We all love the British South West Coastline, and we wanted to capture its beauty whilst still giving the shoot a unique feel. In Clevedon the tide changes quite dramatically throughout the day, and the water and reflections can look so different, depending on the time of year you shoot too! I hope now, when walking around their hometown, Savannah & Omar have unique memories and are able to say to one another… “Oh remember how the light looked over there on our anniversary shoot?!”. Just because Savannah and Omar had their photoshoot close to home, there are endless opportunities to be creative here and go slightly further afield, should you wish.

• Enjoy private moments of reconnection - Savannah & Omar’s anniversary shoot took place in Clevedon, as mentioned above - a Seaside town very close to all of our hearts. As it’s not your typical “White Sandy Beach”, the stone structure and traditional Pier gave the shoot an “Oldy Worldly” feel. We also went during an off-peak time, which offered a quiet and intimate space for the couple to reconnect and enjoy the experience of having their portraits taken without many people lurking about and watching.

​

• Fall in love all over again - It can be a time to reconnect and fall in love all over again, bringing back all the butterflies that you had on your special day.

​

• Capture the wedding photos you always wanted - For Omar and Savannah, an anniversary shoot meant a time for them to have the wedding photography they never got to have on their original big day. They got married but never had a professional wedding photographer, partly due to ruddy covid - 19! It was really special to be a part of their anniversary session, where they both finally got the professional photos they’d dreamt of.

​

• Turn the shoot into the ultimate date - Life gets busy and sometimes couples can often struggle to make time for date night – it’s natural.  I tell my couples to make a date out of this! After our session, you could always go out to dinner, see a film, or just unplug from your phones and go for a walk/spend some quality time together. I’m pretty sure Savannah and Omar went for Pizza afterwards – which I was definitely on board with! Yum!
