Documentary Wedding Photography

July, 2021

Recently, Adam and I received the wonderful news that we had had our offer accepted on a house! We are so unbelievably excited to start this new chapter and to move onto the next adventure together, as homeowners, but at the same time, we really want to make the most out of our last summer here in Clevedon. It's been a while since I've written a love letter about my darling Clevedon, so here's an updated Blog Post on why I love it so. (Previous Blog Posts on Clevedon can be found here, here, here AND here).

Clevedon will always have a special place in Adam and I's hearts, our first home together after almost 10 years spent with each other. We've had some wonderful date days here and created some very special memories, and to all you fellow romantics out there here are a few wonderful things to experience in Clevedon (inspired by my lovely girl Alice, who recently asked for some date recommendations - thank you for getting those creative juices flowing my love!)

  • Visit "Clevedon Pier" - Easily the most "well known" attraction in Clevedon, The Pier, with its beautiful Victorian Lamp Posts, Japanese-style Pagoda, gorgeous lighting & pretty turquoise edging, it really is a must-see, and it's genuinely hard NOT to fall in love here, see for yourself here

  • Explore "Poet’s Walk" (Part 1)... - Starting around the Lake, (and following on from my last point) why not combine a swimming date with a romantic mooch?! Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Alfred Tennyson give Poets Walk, it's beautiful and rather romantic name. I'd highly recommend this stunning Coastal view walk through open meadows and magical forests.

  • ... & (Part 2) Stop off at the "Sugar Lookout" - On your way through the Poets Walk you'll find "The Sugar Lookout" which showcases a viewpoint of the Bristol Channel with Clevedon Pier sitting pretty in the distance and I always feel a wee bit "princess like" in the "castle turret" as it were.

Speaking of walks...

  • Follow "Lovers Walk" -  I mean with a name like this, how could I not mention it?! This walk runs for six miles from "Marine Parade" (in Clevedon) to "Portishead Lake Gardens". Along the way, you’ll see plenty of Sea views, beautiful florals, secluded bays, stunning forestry & a Victorian bandstand or two, perfect for a romantic Seaside saunter.

  • Make a Weekend of it and Book in at "Walton Park Hotel"This Victorian "cliff top" Hotel offers Sea view rooms, pretty gardens and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Sea too! With a delicious continental breakfast that's served daily, a separate restaurant and multiple bar areas to keep you entertained - it's the perfect most picturesque spot! See for yourself here!

& Finally

  • Relax by the Waves  -  Well, whilst visiting the Sea, it would be rude not to, no?!

Wherever you find yourselves, enjoy it!
